Fresh Catch Dec 20, 2009

Good morning snowbirds, I hope you are enjoying your winter wonderland.  Just cold and windy here on the Coast, but the beat goes on.  Today we are loading the truck and expect to arrive Monday morning in Asheville.  The Market will open at Noon Monday and will keep normal hours until 2pm, Christmas Eve.  We will then roll with the Yule Tide until we open again Monday Dec 28.

There is still time to place an order for Christmas.  To do so today, please leave a message at The Market 298-0035.  I expect for Santa,  Plenty of Shrimp, Oysters, Clams, and Fresh Fish.  I have available, still on the boat, big Black Sea Bass (last of the season, March) and plenty of Speckled Sea Trout.  Some, beautiful Black Grouper and an assortment of other fish available.

We expect the normal amount of "complete chaos" this week at Cape Fear.  Placing your order early will ensure that you only have to be part of it for a short time.  Of course, once you get back out there with the rest of the world, you might just want to return to Cape Fear to take a breath, maybe a cookie and coffee, and watch the people go.  Have a seat on the porch, or even better, I'll give you my fancy grilling tools and you might grill Scallop samples...to extend the Yule Tide you know.  And I love Scallops...
